For this nationwide IT firm, launching Bonusly to power employee recognition and rewards had a very welcome side effect. "Without Bonusly, we wouldn’t have seen nearly as much employee engagement with our marketing initiatives," remarks Adel Strauss, Integris' VP of Marketing.

Integris was created in 2021 by the merger of several highly successful IT providers across the United States.
Post merger, the primary challenge for Adel Strauss, Integris' VP of Marketing, was figuring out how to tell Integris' story to the market.
"Each of our formerly separate companies had a lot of public-facing content about who they were, but we didn't have anything about who we were, collectively, as Integris," she says. "As a marketing team, it’s our job to put that story into the world, so it fell to us to build our new culture and core values, and communicate that new identity."
Integris' HR team evaluated Bonusly for the entire organization after a few employees who had previously used Bonusly raved to them about the recognition and rewards program.
When Adel heard that the HR team was planning a company-wide launch of Bonusly, she jumped at the chance to share Integris' new company core values with the entire organization.
Adel says that Bonusly presented "the perfect opportunity to help communicate our new core values" because it prompts recognition givers to connect commendable actions to company values. For the program launch, Adel's HR colleagues created a how-to video explaining how Integris would use Bonusly as a company and they introduced Integris' new core values, which were saved in the product as Company Value Hashtags.
"Before launching Bonusly," Adel notes, "Integris was one company by name, but people continued to work in silos with limited visibility into other divisions. Bonusly helped Integris employees embrace our new core values faster and understand the connection between their actions and those values."
After employees readily adopted Bonusly (Integris saw 95% participation right away!), Adel and her team looked for other ways that Bonusly could support their marketing initiatives.
"We like to share employee videos online and give the world a glimpse of the people behind Integris, but motivating people to contribute is hard," Adel explains. "These internal campaigns are critical in a tight labor market (which is even tighter in IT), but people need extra encouragement to open up about themselves. With COVID, I couldn’t stop by someone’s desk for a casual chat anymore, so I needed a different way to motivate people to participate."
When Adel's team invited employees to submit videos answering a couple of questions and offered Bonusly points as an incentive, they received 20 video submissions to a single request.
"The idea was a hit," Adel says. "We made it into a contest, awarding Bonusly points to anyone who participated and picking winners in different categories who would get additional points and recognition at an all-hands meeting."
Since then, Adel has used the same concept to run a Halloween contest and a virtual 5K. "These internal campaigns are critical in a tight labor market. Without Bonusly, we wouldn’t have seen nearly as much employee engagement with our marketing initiatives."
